My Dream

My Dream

“It is a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any” – Hugh Laurie

I am of the opinion that you can never reach your potential unless you are willing to take risks and throw everything you can at your goals.

I am a late starter, turning professional at the age of 34 with a very short history in the sport, so competing at professional level is relatively short-term plan for me and I don’t plan on leaving any stone unturned during that time.

I have results centred goals such as being competitive in races, podium finishes, working hard in training, reaching my athletic potential and treating triathlon as my new career in all facets of life.

However, a large part of my drive and motivation comes from showing others what is possible if you dare to dream and commit to working hard. If I can do that, and have a positive and inspirational impact on the lives of people I meet along the way, I will be very happy.
